Will this cowboy at heart ever let down his guard long enough to allow true love to flow in? Find out what happens when love and loyalty meet Fate head on.

* A portion of the story Includes the short "Stud Poker" part of the retired anthology, One Night in Vegas. It is important part of Master Anderson's journey.

Who Doesn’t love a sexy cowboy? Now make that sexy cowboy a Master Dominant and give him expert skills with a bull whip and an amazing since of humor and I think we will all fall in love !!

I love that Red decided to tell this part of the Brie series from Master Anderson’s point of view. It was a great change and a chance to fill like we were getting a little closer with this sexy as heck Dom. We get to see what this wonderful man is thinking and feeling and start to realize that even sexy scary Dom’s have insecurities and hurt emotions. I think this book just made me fall a little more in love with one of my favorite Masters. I can’t wait to read the next installment from Tono’s POV !!

*Note – This series needs to be read in order to be able to follow the story line.

Holy Snikerdoodle this was a good book !!! I really don’t know where to start here was so much packed into this book. But it was fantastic. We get to see how much Brie and Thane have grown as a couple and boy is it a lot since their first meeting. In this book Brie travels all over the world helping her friends and having some sexy time to go along with it.  We get to go through some tough times with the couple too as they deal with issues from Thane’s past. There are even some times you will wonder if the couple will make it through.

This book had my emotions all over the place. I was jumping for joy, crying in despair, and wringing my hands in worry. But through it all the love of this couple was shining through. Red Phoenix took over my world while reading this one. I didn’t want to do anything but keep reading so I could see what would happen next. This was another fabulous book in the series !!!

Review of Screwdrivered (The Cocktail Series Book 3) by Alice Clayton

Readers back for a third round of the bestselling Cocktail series will enjoy a madcap romantic comedy about bodice ripping and chest heaving, fiery passion and love everlasting. Plus a dash of paperwork filing and horseshi—wait, what?

By day, Viv Franklin is a tough-as-nails software engineer who designs programs and loves hospital corners. By night, Vivian’s a secret romance-novel junkie who longs for a knight in shining armor, or a cowboy on a wild stallion, or a strapping firefighter to sweep her off her feet. And she gets to wear the bodice—don’t forget the bodice.

When a phone call brings news that she’s inherited a beautiful old home in Mendocino, California from a long-forgotten aunt, she moves her entire life across the country to embark on what she sees as a great, romance-novel-worthy adventure. But romance novels always have a twist, don’t they?

There’s a cowboy, one that ignites her loins. Because Cowboy Hank is totally loin-ignition worthy. But there’s also a librarian, Clark Barrow. And he calls her Vivian. Can tweed jackets and elbow patches compete with chaps and spurs? You bet your sweet cow pie.

In Screwdrivered, Alice Clayton pits Superman against Clark in a hilarious and hot battle that delights a swooning Viv/Vivian. Also within this book, an answer to the question of the ages: Why ride a cowboy when you can ride a librarian?

I am absolutely in LOVE with this series… Alice Clayton know how to make such a wonderful romantic comedy that you are laughing crying and falling in love all at the same time.

We met Viv earlier in the series as Simon’s (our favorite Wallbanger) friend. So I was extremely happy when I learned she was getting her own book, and what a book it was. Viv is a lovable wild adventurous woman who throws the town historian/librarian for a loop and the results are hilarious…. Lets just say I will never look at balustrades the same again.

This series is absolutely amazing…. If you are already a fan then you know you want to read this one…If you haven’t started this series, well you don;t have to read the previous books to read this one as it’s a standalone but the characters are so much fun that you will love all of the books!

Review of Curtis – A Coyote Ridge Novel by Nicole Edwards

Title: Curtis – A Coyote Ridge Novel
Series: Coyote Ridge #1
Author: Nicole Edwards
Genre: Adult, Erotic Romance
Published: March 15, 2016
“I’ve always believed for every person there was only one love that would last a lifetime. I never understood quite what it meant until I met you though. You’re it for me, Lorrie. You are my love that lasts a lifetime.” ~Curtis Walker

A love story 50 years in the making…

Curtis Walker has lived his life to the fullest and he attributes that to the woman who has always been by his side. The one thing he knows with absolute certainty: he can’t live without her. Especially not now.

A love that has withstood the test of time…

It’s no secret that Curtis and Lorrie, the proud parents of the seven wild and rowdy Walker brothers, have found their happily ever after. Now, it’s time for the emotional journey of how they got there.

After falling in love with the Walker family through Nicole’s previous books I was jumping with joy when I found out we would finally be getting Lorie & Curtis’ story. I mean they had to have an amazing background to have had 7 sons that turned into  such strong men with amazing love stories themselves. I am happy to say that there story was remarkable.

“Curts” starts out back when Lorie was 14 years old to Curtis’ 16 years and travels through all of the years between then and now. We follow their love story through thick and thin, ups and downs, happy times and tragedy. Nicole literally pulls out every possible human emotion in this book. There were times I wanted to dance with joy, other that I wanted to hit something and still more where I was crying ugly puffy face tears. However through it all I couldn’t put the book down.

This book is truly about the love of a lifetime. If I could five it 5 million stars I would!

When I was given the chance to review this book I jumped on it. I mean Sawyer Bennett is one of my all time favorite authors. I haven’t read a book of hers that I didn’t like. So I’ll let you know that this is one that you will definitely enjoy.

Leary is a tough ad nails litigator. She is one bad ass chick and she know how to bust some balls in the courtroom. But at the same time she knows what is worth fighting for. Reeve is  a powerhouse in the courtroom as well and at the same time he is a by the books stick to the rules lawyer. So when he is matched against Leary in the courtroom we know there will be sparks. Both on and off the case.

As usual Ms Bennett didn’t let me down. This was a fast paced fun read. With enough heat to steam up your kindle. I am thoroughly looking forward to the next title from this author.

Giveaway, Excerpt and Review of Ryker (Cold Fury Hockey #4) by Sawyer Bennett

Cold Fury Hockey # 4

By: Sawyer Bennett

Releasing September 8, 2015

RYKER_CoverThe rugged men of the Carolina Cold Fury hockey team are winning hearts once again in another scorching novel from New York Times bestselling author Sawyer Bennett.

The stakes have never been higher for Carolina Cold Fury goalie Ryker Evans. With his contract running out, he’s got a year left to prove he’s still at the top of his game. And since his wife left him, Ryker has been balancing life as a pro-hockey star and a single parent to two daughters. Management is waiting for him to screw up. The fans are ready to pounce. Everybody’s taking dirty shots—except for the fiery redhead whose faith in Ryker gives him a fresh start.

As the league’s only female general manager, Gray Brannon has learned not to mix business with pleasure. And yet even this tough, talented career woman can’t help breaking her own rules as she gives Ryker everything she’s got. She hopes their hot streak will last forever, but with Ryker’s conniving ex plotting to reclaim her man, the pressure is on Gray to step up and save a tender new love before it’s too late.

“D-a-a-a-d,” Ruby shrieks from upstairs.

It’s a sound that once used to cause all the hair to stand up on my arms and on more than one occasion caused me to go tearing after the call of my youngest daughter thinking she was being murdered by an intruder. I’ve since come to recognize that particular shrill cry as one of excitement and wonder, and I can’t help but grin over what Ruby is possibly into now. At almost five years old, she refuses to accept the concept of a well-mannered, indoor voice and goes balls to the wall in everything she does.

“Is the house on fire, Rubes?” I call out.

Her little voice shouts back to me in a squawk. “No.”

“Have aliens landed?” I keep my voice just loud enough to carry up the stairs but still decibels below her own.

“No,” she yells, and there . . . right there . . . that’s a little giggle from her.

“Did Timmy fall down the well?”

“No, Dad . . . but you have to come here,” she yells, and, to give her credit, it’s toned down just a bit. When I don’t answer her right away, she calls down in a sweet voice that makes my heart pitter-patter. “Please, Dad.”

Brilliant, little brat. Throwing in some manners to throw me off my game.

“I’ll be right there,” I tell her as I finish the last of Violet’s braid and manage to efficiently bind it with a hair elastic. Leaning over, I place a kiss on her head. “All done, dreamy dwarf.”

Violet leans her head back and gives me an upside-down grin. I love the sprinkle of freckles on her nose and it compels me to kiss her again.

“Do me a favor,” I tell her as I turn toward the living room. “Get the cereal and milk out for me while I go see what your sister needs?”

I don’t bother waiting to see what she does, because Violet has become my metaphorical right hand over the last few months. While she still loves for me to braid her hair and help with her homework, she’s also relished taking on a bit of a caretaker role since the girls moved in with me permanently this past summer.

They’ve been here almost six months and I actually feel like I know what the hell I’m doing now. It wasn’t always like that, and thank God for Kate’s help or I would have gone insane in those first few months of becoming a single parent of two little girls. Kate patiently helped me establish a routine and taught me how to braid hair, distinguish excited shrieks from cries of pain, and most important . . . how to conduct the perfect princess tea party.

I skirt my way through the living room, bending over to pick up one of Ruby’s dolls from the floor, and bound up the stairs taking two at a time. I find Ruby in the bathroom that she and Violet share, bent over the toilet and peering at something.

She shares the same dark hair and gray eyes as Violet, except her locks spring out everywhere in a mass of tiny curls. I have no idea where that came from, but assume it’s a rogue strand of ancestral DNA from either me or my soon-to-be ex-wife, Hensley. Both of us, as well as Violet, have fairly straight hair, so Ruby is definitely dipping into the family gene pool with her wild curls, but damn . . . they totally fit with her personality.

“What’s up?” I ask as I walk over to the toilet.

She straightens up, shoots me a grin, and points. “Look . . . a spider.”

I cautiously take a step forward and lean over, grimacing as I look into the bowl.

And holy shit . . . a spider the size of a T rex is floating on the surface, all eight legs spread out, bent and poised to look as if it’s ready to leap out and attach itself to my face. I suppress a full spinal shudder and reach a tentative hand toward the handle to flush it.

Two things happen almost simultaneously that take at least three years off my life.

The spider somehow manages to skitter across the water, the beast so large it actually creates waves, and Ruby shrieks at me, “No! Don’t kill it, Dad!”

It is with a major blow to my pride—as a man, as a dad, as a six-foot, six-inch professional hockey player nicknamed the Brick because I’m as big and tough as a brick wall—that I jump backward at least two feet from the monster-infested toilet and banshee-crying sprite, causing my hip to slam into the corner of the sink.

“Shit,” I curse loudly, and Ruby’s eyes go round, followed by her lips.

“Oh, Dad . . . that’s a bad word.”

No shit.

I smile at her as I rub my hip. That’s definitely going to leave a bruise. “Sorry, Rubes. I’ll put a dollar in the swear jar.”

She merely nods her acceptance of my apology and turns worried eyes back to the toilet.

“You have to save it,” she implores.

Yeah . . . that’s not going to happen. Not now. Not ever.

“Sure, baby,” I tell her as I take her by the shoulder and turn her toward the bathroom door. I swear the spider glares at me with a million red, evil eyes. “Go on down and get breakfast. Violet’s fixing your cereal. I’ll get the spider out.”

“Okay,” Ruby says as she pulls away from me, but continues to give me instructions. “But let it out the front door and I’ll bring it some food later.”

“Sounds like a plan,” I assure her as she disappears down the stairs. When I hear her feet hit the bottom landing, I turn toward the toilet, intent on a quick flush to put me out of my misery.

Except when I look in the bowl, the fucking thing is gone.

I’ll just go ahead and admit it. Spiders scare the living hell out of me. I have no clue why, and while I would battle the biggest, baddest monster to the death for my daughters, I’d much rather flush a little spider down the toilet.

I immediately scramble backward out of the bathroom, grabbing the doorknob and shutting it quickly behind me. My heart is racing a million miles an hour, the thought of that furry hell beast now loose in my house.

Just one more thing on the list of things I still need to do today.

Get the girls dressed and ready for school.

Take the girls to school.

Clean up the spilled laundry detergent.

Finish the laundry.

Arm myself with a can of hairspray and a lighter to torch the rogue spider in the bathroom.

Pick up my dry cleaning.

Work out.

Team practice.

Pick up the girls from Kate and Zack’s house.

Story time and cuddling.

Go to bed because I’ll be exhausted.

Easy as fucking pie, and I’ll get up and do it all over again the next day with a smile on my face. I’m finding life as a single parent isn’t as daunting as I thought it would be and I’ve finally found my groove.

Lord have mercy !! I don’t know how a man can get any hotter. I mean you have a sweet, funny, sexy, caring man and he’s a star hockey player…. HELLO?!?!?! Sawyer Bennett definitely made a winning goal with this one.

Ryker is a recently single dad who has the honor, privilege and duty of raising his 2 young girls. However at the same time he is faced with a number of trials. Not the least of which is his soon to be ex-wife, who he caught cheating on him  with a former team mate. Gray is a sassy woman in a man’s world. She is the newly appointed GM of the Carolina Cold Fury Hockey team. She is having a hard enough time getting people to take her seriously, the last thing she needs is to get caught up in a relationship with her star goalie.

As usual with any books by Sawyer Bennett that I read, I absolutely loved this book. Sawyer know just how far to push you to keep the book sexy and entertaining but doesn’t take things too deep. Her books are always a fun read.

He ruined me.

Even though I knew he was playing games, I couldn’t resist him. He was under my skin, in my blood, and deep in my bones.

He saved me.

My life was a lie and I had no idea. He forced me to see the truth. Although it hurt, he healed me.

Because of him, I was strong enough to survive.

All or Nothing Teaser #3

Without another word to me, he picked up the handset again and clicked it. “Jack, after you take out the trash, there’re two women at table fifteen. Tell them that King will be taking Jena home and that their tab is on the house.”

“No problem, boss.”

King’s eyes never left my face during this exchange. When he was done, he dropped the radio on the desk again.

“Now, you’re girls are taken care of and you and I need to have a chat.”

I straightened my shoulders. “Like I said, King, I appreciate your help but I’m leaving.”

“Sit. Your. Ass. Down. Jena,” he barked.

“Fuck you, King!” I shouted.

Suddenly he was right in front of me, no, practically on top of me, his left arm wrapping around me and pulling me tightly against his body. His right hand twisted in my hair, yanking my head back so hard it almost hurt.

I didn’t understand why, but I felt that tugging somewhere else on my body. Somewhere much lower.

“Don’t say it unless you mean it, darlin’,” he snarled.

Then he kissed me.

Wow. I don’t even know where to start with this one…. All I can say is you better be ready for plot twist after plot twist while reading All or Nothing by C.C. Wood. However the author doesn’t confuse with the twists she does a perfect job of grabbing the reader and shaking them up. You will be saying to yourself “What the Fu¢k??? Did I seriously just read that?” or at least I was.

On to a bit of the story. I don’t want to give  much away or you won;t have the pleasure of surprise as I did. So I’ll just start off by saying that originally King was the best friend of Jenna’s boyfriend, I won’t go into how the situation changes but be ready for tears. At first I didn’t really think I was going to like King. I mean talk about raging a$$hole, but after a while you realize that his attitude is just who he is and he uses it to protect those he loves. Jenn on the other hand. I loved from the get go. She is great mixture of feisty and sweet. I really start to feel myself empathizing with her.

So all in all you can see that I really enjoyed the story. So I’m just going to end my review with the words to the author:

Well done Ms Wood and thank you for screwing with my mind like that.

Dr. Derek Babineaux is intelligent, dedicated, and one of the best ER physicians in the fast-paced world of critical care at Tulane Medical in New Orleans. Always on top of his game, he’s thrown off balance when the newest medical staff member finally unleashes his hidden desires.

Justin Delacroix’s job at the inner city’s busiest hospital might be just what he needs to ease back into civilian life after a long stint in the military. High-performing shifts make working as a trauma nurse at TMC the perfect way to utilize his skills and quick reaction times. There’s only one problem, his attraction for one sexy ER doctor is off the charts, but he has his reasons for not returning Dr. Baby’s night shift advances. Or maybe he doesn’t.
“I’m starting to think you might have a crush on me, Dr. Baby.” His own crooked smile spread, hoping he was getting past the too quiet remark from earlier. He didn’t want Derek to see him that way.

“Then quit dodging me and let’s play doctor,” Derek growled. Justin could feel Derek’s heated gaze on him, but refused to look his way.

“I don’t mix business with pleasure,” Justin playfully fired right back, like he had every night they’d worked together. Besides, Derek had to know he was such a liar. It took everything in him not to jump the smug doctor right there in the hallway and show him exactly how well he played with others.

“I’m not buying it. Besides, if you don’t want to play with me, then why do I always catch you eye-fucking me?” Derek cockily countered. The doctor grabbed his forearm, stopping Justin in his tracks. Derek turned toward him and their eyes locked in an instant. Justin wondered if Derek could hear his heart pounding against his chest as he held his challenging gaze.

This was new to the game.

This was such a fun short read. Not only did I love Derek and Justing but also the cast of secondary characters, including the flinty nurses and especially Derek’s well meaning elderly aunt. I loved the fact that we got to see a little of  Tristan Wilder from Secret also.
I’m going to keep this review short and sweet because I don;t want to give away the plot twist, SO I’ll just say that if you are familiar with Kindle Alexander’s work then you already know that this book is a winner. If you haven’t had the pleasure of reading the author before then this is a great short story to dip you feet in to the deliciously naughty mind that is Kindle Alexander.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.
