The life of a rock star is dirty but someone has to do it.

He’s Famous, a rock star, a legend, drug addict & womanizing man-whore.

Then there is Rush, it’s his job to play music that makes girls wet, and then to screw a select few of them.

He is a professional rocker. He’s rich, famous and one lucky son-of-a-bitch. He has everything – except control.

Come and meet the band if you are brave enough ladies in this exclusive interview:

Stevie J. Cole on what it would be like to interview Pandemic Sorrow.

“They’ll be in a few minutes, Tiff. You ready?”
I nod and smile. “Yeah.” Shit. I’m nervous.

Todd opens the door to the conference room but stops to look back at me. “They’re a lot to handle. Just don’t….provoke them or anything.”
“Provoke them, what are they freaking rabid animals?” I laugh.
His gaze trails down to my chest, and his lips lay flat across his face. “No, that’s enough to provoke them. Might want to pull that up a little.”
I huff, and Todd walks out the door. Muffled voices filter through the other side of the door, laughter. Shit. Shit. Shit. I’ve interviewed countless rockers since starting at this magazine company, and I have never been this anxious. I mean, hell, it’s Pandemic Sorrow. Jag Steele, Stone Steele, Rush…and that drummer whose name I can’t ever remember. Jack, Travis…Pax!

The door swings open and my breathing ceases for a second.  Jag struts in. I have never in my life seen a man with so much swagger. He’s dressed in a tight black v-neck, jewelry draped all over him, and his jeans—my eyes instinctually fall to his crotch—holy shit, those pants are tight.
I‘m so focused on how tight Jag’s pants are that I completely miss the other guys trail in and take their seats.
“It’s real, wanna touch it?” Jag chuckles and I feel my entire face redden.
“Ah, no. Nice gesture and all.”
He shrugs and yanks out his chair, turning it around as he adjusts his junk before straddling it.
I sit, staring around the room. I realize I must look like a complete idiot, and I clear my throat. “So, let’s start with a simple question for each of you. What was the driving force behind your pursuit to fame?
Jag’s lips curve in to a delicious smile. “Pussy. Lots of pussy.”
Rush laughs as he leans over the table toward me. “For me,” his eyes skim down to my low cut top, “the promise of nightly orgies.”
Oh, fuck. I am in for it. I need to divert my attention away from these two whores. Where’s that drummer? I eye Pax, who’s not even looking in my direction. His chin is slumped to his chest, and all I can see is his spikey blonde hair. I think he’s asleep.
“Uh, Pax?” He slowly raises his head. “What drove you to fame?”
“I dunno, money?
“I actually have a worthwhile answer, unlike these shitheads.” Stone taps his fingers on the table. “I wanted to do something everyone told me I couldn’t.
I can’t stop the ridiculous smile making its way over my lips. Damn, Stone is hot. Those brown eyes, those cheekbones, that hair. I’m swooning, not going to lie. “Okay, next question is for Rush. Rush, if you had to be something besides a rock star, what would it be?
“Oh, that’s easy.” He stands up, grabs the edge of the table and pelvic thrusts against it so hard it scoots an inch across the floor. “Hands down, a porn star. James Deen can go fuck himself because his measly nine inches don’t have shit on my man-cock.” He laughs as he collapses back down in his chair.
I giggle, and his face goes all serious.
“No, really. A porn star.”
Jag shoves him so hard he knocks him out of his chair. “Rush, you couldn’t be a porn star. You don’t have any fucking stamina.”
“I’ve got loads of stamina.”
“Like shit you do—”
“Hey!” I shout. They both turn to look at me, and for a moment, I’m afraid I just really pissed them off. I timidly clear my throat. “Next question. Stone, what’s it like working with your brother?”
He smirks. “I mean, when I’m not babysitting his ass, it’s tolerable.”
Jag is too busy making lewd hand motions at Rush to be offended by that, so I go on to the next question on my list. “So, guys, what’s it like to be Pandemic Sorrow? It must be incredible to be so famous?
Pax shrugs as he mumbles, “It’s cool.”
Rush tosses his hands in the air. “Fucking amazing! Are you kidding me?” He shakes his head as he grins. “I can’t even explain to you how amazing this shit is. I keep thinking I’m going to wake up and find out I’ve been in a coma or something, and that I’m still just fucking up drive-thru orders at Burger Boy.”
“Yeah, it’s pretty awesome.” Stone nods. “Surreal. That may be the best word. It’s surreal. It’s weird to be flipping through the radio and hear your song on there. Sometimes, I don’t even feel like I am that dude.”
I smile politely. I love all of his down to earth comments. Unlike the other perverts in this room, he seems so adorably sweet. I glance over at Jag. It seems like he has checked out momentarily. He’s staring down at his hands as he fidgets with one of the rings on his finger. “Jag, what about you. What’s it like to be so famous?”
He glances up at me, his face completely void of any emotion. “Oh, uh. It’s great. Really.” Pausing, he wipes his hands down the legs of his jeans. “You know, paparazzi following you around, so you can’t even shake your dick without it making a headline. Always a party, always a show, always fans screaming at you. Yep. Couldn’t be better.”
That didn’t seem authentic in the least. Honestly, he looks miserable. What do I say to that? Nodding, I say, “I can’t imagine. It must be tiring.”
There’s an awkward silence. I flip through my tablet and find the next question. “So, we had some fans write in with questions they wanted you guys to answer. One fan asked that each of you describe your perfect mate.” I look over at Rush. “Why don’t you go first since you want to be the porn star and all?”
His lips curl, his eyes twinkle, and then he smirks. “A girl that likes company in the bed. Kinda like—” He narrows his gaze on me as he arches a brow. “You gonna publish all the stuff I say, right?”
“Yeah, unless you ask me not to.”
“Oh, no. I want this in there more than anything else I’m gonna say.” He clears his throat, smiling proudly. “A complete freak, kinda like I imagine Jules would be. She’s our assistant manager. We all know she likes being treated like a dirty slut.”
“Uh, Rush, you probably shouldn’t—“
“Oh, no, she expects shit like this. Seriously though, I need a freak.”
Jag groans. “Yeah, sure, Tink looks like a freak. Rush, she looks like she’d be a damn lame lay.” He leans over the table as he thumbs his lip piercing. “I need a girl that would put me in my place every once and a while.”
“That’s a good answer, Jag.” I turn to Stone and my cheeks heat. “What about you?”
“Honestly, I can’t even think about that. I’m so consumed with my career, I know I would be a shitty boyfriend, but I do like short girls.”
Yep, swooning again. “Pax, what about you?”
He shrugs. God, he has no personality whatsoever. “Oh, just give me a girl that hasn’t been rammed by these three fuckers and I would be good.”
Jag flips him the bird. “Fuck off, Paxton.”
“You sick of sloppy seconds, drummer boy?” Rush asks as he shoves him.
Pax swats Rush’s hand away. “Fuck you dick dribbles, don’t get all pissy just because I didn’t want to join in for your orgy last night,” he shouts.  “I don’t like slapping dicks with you sick fucks.”
I can feel my jaw hanging open. They are arguing with each other; yelling, cursing.
The next thing I know, Stone is waving his hand in the air to get my attention. “Tiffany?” He whistles.
I glance over at him, and he is sitting there so relaxed like none of this phases him. He smiles sweetly at me. “I assure you, noneof them know how to use their dicks the way I do.”
Oh, hell. Compose yourself, boo. I think I’m getting sweat stains under my arms! Oh, crap! I hear a loud bang. Jag just threw Pax on the floor, and Rush is laughing. This is a disaster. Smile, smile…
Stone stands and walks over to me. “They’ll knock each other out eventually. And while they are…” he swats a stray piece of hair from my face. “Why don’t I go knock the fuck outta you?”
I shouldn’t, I know I shouldn’t, but this is Stone Steele. I take another quick look at the three guys rolling around on the floor, then eye the door.
“Come on, you pretty little thing.” Stone barely touches his warm lips to mine before pulling me toward the door.
I am most likely going to get fired from the magazine now, but I don’t really care. I mean, who in their right mind would turn this guy down?

Books In the Series

Jag (Pandemic Sorrow #1)

WARNING: This novel contains explicit language, sexual situations, and is the story of an addict. This material is intended for a mature audience.

“My name’s Jag Steele. I’m the lead singer and guitarist to the band Pandemic Sorrow, and I have a drug problem. Well, I mean it’s not really a problem – unless you count the fact that I almost made my heart explode from all the blow I shoved up my nose a few weeks back…”

That was my introduction during my first stint in rehab. I’m messed up. If you asked anybody who I am there’s a list they will go down: Famous, rock star, legend, drug addict, womanizing man-whore, but if you asked me, I wouldn’t have the first idea of what to say, because I don’t know who Jag Steele is. Really, I’m living every other damn person’s dream, and all I want is reality.

Roxy Slade, that girl was my reality. My brutally flawed and beautifully broken reality. And she hated everything I stood for. To her I was just one of “those guys”, and she’d rather be buried alive with poisonous snakes than give someone like me a piece of toilet paper to wipe their ass with. Brutal. Life. Is. Brutal. And it is just a giant pain, which is why I chase after anything to make it numb, anything that can fill this void. I just want anything that can make me not feel. I just don’t want to feel.

Rush (Pandemic Sorrow #2)

It’s my job to play music, to make girls wet, and then to screw a select few of them. I’m a professional rocker. I’m rich, I’m famous, I’m one lucky son-of-a-bitch. I have everything – except control.

The industry owns me. And the only thing I have a minuscule grain of control with is women, but not that dominate, tie you up and gag you kind of control. No, I want to govern how I make them feel. I need them to feel like a goddess while I’m in them, and I love being able to control the fact that they’ll never really have me. Love is complicated. It is bullshit. And even if I thought I needed it, the rules of being a rocker won’t allow it.

Sex is all I need.

I don’t need love.

But for some reason I want her. For some reason I can’t get her out of my mind. And lately, every time I’m with any girl besides her it feels wrong.

I can practically have any woman I want, but I can’t have her. She’s off limits because she’s part of that industry that owns my ass.

Sex was all I had.

And sometimes I thought maybe love was all I needed…with her

Roxy (Pandemic Sorrow #3)

My life had been no fairy tale. Actually, growing up, it had been something more like a nightmare, which is why I ended up so hard. When you don’t want to hurt having the ability to be numb is your best defense mechanism. And for a long time all I was doing was existing.

Jag Steele, the lead singer of the international rock band Pandemic Sorrow, was the epitome of everything I despised: arrogant, entitled, but the thing I hated most about him was that he was an addict. Drugs had been the demon that had ruined everything in my life, and anyone who had a love affair with them pretty much made my stomach turn. It brought up memories I wanted to stay buried. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly a fan of Jag.

Funny thing is, people aren’t always who you expect them to be. Never in a million years would I have thought the night I meet Jag would have any significance on the rest of my life, but it did.

I found out that sometimes something that screams utter destruction might actually be your saving grace.

Some people may say our story is too screwed up to be a romance, but for two broken people, we made the pieces fit together perfectly.

Box Set

Pandemic Sorrow Series (Jag, Rush, & Roxy 3-in-1)

Three-in-one rocker boxset.

Sex, drugs, and rock and roll. The life of a rocker is gritty, and for the boys of Pandemic Sorrow, it’s exhausting. Their existence is one of sleepless nights, binges with drugs, and the daunting task of pleasing women…lots and lots of women. Life is one endless party, and for both Jag and Rush, it’s a path of utter self-destruction.

Warning: Jag and Rush are from a male point of view, and are very…male. They are vulgar and explicit and may have to work their way through a few fans before they find a woman who can tame these rocker’s inner whore. All books contain explicit language and sexual situations.

EXCERPT

Nick quickly took advantage, pressing his hand deeper as he raised her up, her ass on his forearm. Angelina squirmed, rubbing against him. Nick bent and sucked a nipple into his mouth, teasing it through the silk. He slid a finger in and out of her heat, lightly rubbing her clit with his thumb. Angelina moaned and tightened around his finger. Pressing her close against him, Nick increased his thrusts. Nick bit her nipple and was rewarded with a cry as Angelina clamped down, drenching his hand as she came apart in his arms.
She placed her head against his shoulder, shivers running through her while her arms and legs tightened around him. Nick pulled his hand free from her warmth and licked his fingers clean, making smacking noises as he did.
“Pig.” It was so low Nick barely heard the comment. Nick chuckled as Angelina giggled in his arms.
“Did you want another glass of champagne?” Angelina shook her head and squirmed against him. Nick squeezed her to him, enjoying the feel of her, despite the tightness in his groin. “Are you ready for dinner? Or shall we just head straight to dessert?”

CHARACTER BIOS

Corporal Nicholas ‘Saint’ Santiago
Saint is serving in Afghanistan when his heart is broken over a ‘Dear John’ letter. Everything seems to get worse at that point. Normally a happy go lucky kind of guy he seems to have lost his optimistic view of life. The only thing that stirs his interest is ‘Doc’ a female medic assigned to the FOB. Not wanting anymore entanglements, he ignores her. He knows that he needs to go home to find the place he belongs and bring back the man he was.
Angelina ‘Doc’ Jones
She had the hots for Santiago but everyone knew he’d been dumped. Doc didn’t want to be the rebound. She joined and became a corpsman against her parent’s wishes, knowing just that she had to serve. When the grenade changed her life, she needed reassurance and someone to love her despite her disability.
A Saints Salvation - Teaser 4

Character Interview with Nicholas Santiago

1. Who is Nicholas Santiago? Please tell us about yourself. I’m a Marine. You can tell from my last name that I’m of Mexican descent on my dad’s side. One of the reasons I’m called Saint. The other is the tattoo I have. ‘Every saint has a past, every sinner has a future’. I’ve always been more sinner than saint.I’ve always wanted to be in the service and the Marine’s just called to me. My mom says I was born to be a Marine. She doesn’t always mean it as a complement!

2. What event shaped your life the most? Seeing that grenade come toward me. My life flashed before my eyes. I thought that was the end.

3. What is your greatest fear and your greatest weakness? My greatest fear is not finding who I am again. War changes you and I don’t like who I am because of it. I know I can find my way back. My greatest weakness? Being vulnerable to love again.

4. What drew you to the Angelina? She’s so capable yet has a vulnerability about her. I love her sassiness. She won’t put up with any of my bullshit.

5. How has Angelina changed your life? She made me realize that love can’t be denied.

6. What do you plan to do about the attraction between you? Only as much as I can persuade her. I won’t force her, of course, but I can be extremely persuasive, especially when I want something and I want Angel.

7. Is there a moment that haunts you? The fact that I wasn’t able to protect Angel. She says I saved her life, but I should have been the one hurt. She worked to save us all every day and I feel as if I failed her.

8. What keeps you going day after day? Pure grit and stubbornness. It’s part of my genes.

9. What would you never do? Turn my back on Angelina or my family and friends. They are why I do what I do.

REVIEW

I love a good military Romance. This is a short but complete story of two injured soldiers, Nick and Angelina. They both need someone to hold onto during these trying times. He’d received a Dear John letter and she didn’t want to be his rebound. I love a good military romance. This is a short but complete story of two injured soldiers, Nick and Angelina. They both need someone to hold onto during these trying times. He’d received a Dear John letter and she didn’t want to be his rebound and he didn’t think she wanted him that way. Read this fantastic book to find out if these two managed to find their way back to each other.

The only problem I have with this book is that I wish it were longer.

Come Tame Me

Hero Interview by Tonya Kinzer

Tonya

Gabe

Thank you so much for having Gabe and me on your blog! Come Tame Me is book one in the Wild Fillies series and does contain adult reading material! *wink*

Welcome everyone and thank you for stopping in! Since you’re here, I’m assuming you love to read sexy westerns and I hope each you enjoy my story of Cassi and Gabe. I got to sit down recently with the handsome hero of my book, Gabriel Jackson, to find out more about him for my readers. We love getting inside the head of our characters and want to know what makes them tick.

Tonya: You left your family’s ranch in Montana to live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. What made you move?

Gabe: My father and older brother ran the ranch there with several great guys who help out. I wanted a change so I got into the rodeo circuit and found I enjoyed the calf and steer roping. I tried bull riding but decided I like having my brains and body in one piece. Jackson Hole was one of the rodeo stops and that’s where I met Blake Mitchell and some of his ranch hands who also got involved in the local rodeo.

Tonya: How did you end up working at Blake’s ranch?

Gabe: One of his guys talked me into helping with the cattle herd, training their horses and keeping the younger guys in line. Working on the ranch is where I met Blake’s daughter, Cassandra. We got along well and had many of the same interests. Our chemistry wasn’t bad either! (wink)

Tonya: How did her father take to the idea of his daughter seeing one of the cowboys?

Gabe: I got along quite well with her father and after several years of working for him, I became his ranch manager when his interests went beyond the ranch. Before all that, Cassi wanted to learn calf roping and became quite good at it. We got closer and built a relationship that worked for us…until her parents divorced and her mother took Cassi to Tennessee.

Tonya: Hhmm…that sounds tough, especially if the two of you had a good relationship. Did you stay in touch?

Gabe: (long pause, Gabe stares at me) An incident happened that involved the four of us and another woman. I won’t go into that here. We all make mistakes; I’d rather forget that happened. Your readers will have to read our story.

Tonya: Okay then…What do you do on the ranch to stay in such good shape? I’m guessing more than office duties!

Gabe: I’m not one to sit behind a desk. I get my job done there and then head out to help the guys. We move bales of hay, clean out the stalls, mend fence lines on the property, work with new horses and rope a few steer so our rodeo skills stay top notch!

Tonya: (squirming in my seat, finding it hard to keep my gaze from roaming over his arms and chest) What qualities do you look for in a woman?

Gabe: She has to have a mind of her own, be comfortable with the life choices she’s made, know what she wants out of life and not be afraid to take chances. I want a woman by my side who can be a partner to me, someone I can talk to and share life with. I’m a sucker for green eyes…and Cassi has all of these attributes.

Tonya: It sounds to me like you’re still stuck on Cassi.

Gabe: You could say that, but she told me never to contact her when she left ten years ago and I’ve honored her wish. It’s been hard but I held onto hope that one day she’d return to the ranch, so I’ve stayed there.

Tonya: That’s a long time to wait for one woman! Did you date other women?

Gabe: Not many. The ranch keeps me busy and if you get a woman in your head, sometimes other aspects of your life fall apart…unless she’s your soul mate. I met her once…she left…and I’ve not met another woman like Cassi in ten years, so I stay busy on the ranch.

Tonya: That tells me that you’re a one-woman man, hon. Gabe, thank you for taking time out from your hard work on the ranch to chat with me.

Ladies, there you have it! Is he someone you’d love to have as a soul mate? Yummy! I’ll let you in on a secret…not all handsome men are as down to earth as Gabe. Your soul mate could already be in your life!

Liz Crowe’s “Stewart Realty Trilogy Goes Print” Tour with Character Interview

Stewart Realty Anthology: The Jack and Sara Trilogy

Official Synopsis

SRAnthro3D-2Stewart Realty:  Life in the House Lane

Love is an easy word to use, a hard one to demonstrate, and sometimes impossible to trust.

The Stewart Realty series is a sweeping epic, encompassing many years in the lives of two people who know how to love with their bodies, how to please and get pleasure, to control and be controlled.  When it comes to the deeper meaning of the one word they both need, backgrounds and personalities get in the way. While their physical connection sizzles they somehow manage to continuously disappoint one another on an emotional level.

Jack Gordon has it all—money, success, a string of women—but also a deep longing for something more. When he thinks he finds it with Sara Jane Thornton, his world is never the same again. Sara releases a side of himself he considered buried out of frustration and unhappiness. Sara soon learns that she must trust him implicitly, something she cannot do, no matter how many times she tries…and he fails.

With a rich cast of secondary characters, including a young man who presents a near-perfect foil to Jack’s intensity, and who falls hard for Sara, The Stewart Realty series is a saga with an emphasis on contemporary life with a healthy dose of realistic eroticism. A tale of modern, busy, driven people seeking the ever-elusive and highly coveted combination—a friend, lover and trusted companion who will be there for the long haul.

Start at the beginning, with the Jack and Sara Trilogy, now for the first time ever in a print anthology. The Stewart Realty series is a best seller in family saga and urban fiction categories. See for yourself what the buzz is all about.

AMAZON / B&N

GOOD FAITH, Liz’s final, epic, mainstream fiction novel of the Stewart Realty series continues to enthrall readers and reviewers. As part of the re-release of the first 3 books of the series that focus on Jack and Sara’s early years, her publisher is offering GOOD FAITH for just $0.99 on Amazon and Barnes and Noble for the month-long duration the tour. But thanks to this tour, you can, for just 4 weeks.

A special not from Liz:  If I can sell 1000 copies (of GOOD FAITH) total (combined ebooks and print across all platforms) by….my birthday this year (December 17) I will release the Good Faith Sequel. Working Title: “Settlement Statement” in early 2015. If you feel like including this in our post please do. Or, if you don’t mind promoting it otherwise if you don’t have space for yet more news from Liz, that would be GREATLY appreciated!

Chatting with the Brewer: Blake Thornton, The Local Brewpub

By Liz Crowe

Liz: Welcome Blake! Please, tell us what you’ve brought for us to taste and enjoy today.

Blake: Sure thing Liz. First, because I know you are a hophead, I insist that you try this black IPA. It’s a new one for me this year and we’re pairing it with a super spicy cheeseburger thing that Rob wanted to make. Perfect for a cold winter night like tonight.

Liz: (tastes and nods) Wow. That’s like a hop bomb disguised in a roasted coffee beer. Is there coffee in it? (tastes more and licks lips)

Blake: Sorry. Proprietary secret. I don’t want you walking this over to Wolverine and replicating it as a lager. You’d probably get another mention in Draft Magazine for it.

Liz: Sour puss. I hear you and Rob are looking to expand and bottle some of these. If I were you, I’d definitely do this one.

Blake: Yeah, well it’s a sticking point. Rob’s not too keen on it. I still am though. (he looks away a moment, then brightens when he pulls out a different bottle). Ok, try this one and you tell me the style, oh high and mighty Beer Wench of Ann Arbor.

Liz: (grins and tastes the amber-colored brew) Hmm…really strong malt base, sweet, with a subtle back bite of hops. Crisp. Oh you naughty boy…. (puts the glass down and stares at the handsome, now blushing, blond man).

Blake: What? (blinks innocently)

Liz: A lager! You did it! Well done. (holds up the glass and admires its clarity in the light). Not a hint of diacytl, or DMS.

Blake: Ok, now you are officially putting the blog readers to sleep. Ask me about my new girlfriend.

Liz: Only if you let me taste that last one…the darkest one.

Blake: Like ‘em strong and dark, eh Liz? (winks and pours, then clinks glasses with her)

Liz: The bigger, the better. Now that, my friend, is one kick ass stout. What did you age it in? Not bourbon barrels I’m guessing. But something. The alcohol warming is very, very nice.

Blake: It’s a classic Russian Imperial, but I aged this batch in some rye barrels. Less sweet that way. You like? (he smacks his full lips, making Liz spill a little before recovering herself)

Liz: Very much. (sets the glass down) Tell me about the new addition to your life. The girlfriend? Isn’t that a bit precious. She’s a womb-for-hire last I checked.

Blake: (Blushes, adorably) Well, Lila is definitely a great addition as you say. Something Rob and I never thought we were missing, until we found her. She’s… (he gets a dreamy look in his eyes and stops)

Liz: (snaps fingers in front of his face while pouring herself another helping of the stout) Ok, so she’s a girlfriend. How does that work, exactly, with two alpha males like you and your live-in chef. Jesus, Blake, this beer is like nectar. Did you bring any chocolate? It would really go nicely with that.

Blake: Thanks. I like it too. (he shrugs in his usual self-deprecating way) It works as well as you might think I guess. Rob and I have had our challenging, chest-thumping moments. But you know we are doing this for a reason, and not just because I want a to be a father. It’s important to us both. To all of us.

Liz: (pats his hand) I know. It’s tough. But… on the bright side, if you are all getting along so well it must make for some pretty steamy nights. You know, wiggling with a purpose and all that.

Blake: (snorts with laughter) Wow. Succinct.

Liz: Well I AM a writer—you know, a “words person.”

Blake: Yeah, the nights are amazing. Sharing our lives came pretty naturally once we sorted out the bed-sharing part. Here’s a hint: get a bigger bed (he waggles his eyebrows). Lila is the most giving and kind and supportive person…and she’s hot. Way hot. It’s…(he blushes again).

Liz: Damn you’re cute. I’m glad I created you.

Blake: Me too, Liz, me too. So, if that’s it…. (he stands and collects his beer bottles)

Liz: Sit down, lover boy. I need to know one more thing.

Blake: (raises an eyebrow but sits again) If this is about my sister and her….

Liz: (raises a hand) Well, I am trying promote the first 3 books. You know (hooks fingers around the words) “the Jack and Sara trilogy now available in a print anthology.”

Blake: (rolls his eyes and leans back, propping his sneakered feet on the table) Ok. So. Jack is an ass. But apparently, he is The Ass my sister loves and wants to be with. Who am I to argue with that? God knows I’ve picked badly in the past and now have finally found my own soul mate or whatever. They….they need to be together.

Liz: I still sense some reluctance…

Blake: Everybody always gives me such a rash of shit for being overprotective of her. But to my mind, I’m just doing what I’m supposed to do for my sister. Up to and including finally telling Gordon to just toss her over his shoulder and carry her to his cave. Talking her out of wanting some level of that was just getting too exhausting. Besides (he toys with one of the empties) Rob vouches for Jack and I’m ready to believe him.

Liz: Good. Now about those steamy nights….

Blake: (laughs) Yeah, well steamy nights, mornings, and oh, (glances at his watch) sorry, gotta go, timing is everything with this whole pregnancy goal thing. It’s my turn to watch. (he raises an eyebrow making Liz a little shivery). I love watching the two people I love most, making love. (he grabs the empties, presses a kiss to Liz’s hot face). We all set here?

Liz: Uh. Yeah. Please. Go. And…well….there you have it folks. Blake Thornton and his newest, most delicious brews from The Local. Leaving us all with a mental picture that may require some alone time later. Cheers!

Interview with a Sexy, Hot-Tempered Book Boyfriend

Today we’re going to learn more about Gavin Mays, a Harley-riding, body-building mechanic who attends the University of California at San Diego. He was also a father for seven days, and the death of his newborn son had a profound impact on his life straight out of high school.

Gavin is from the bestselling new adult romance Forever Innocent by Deanna Roy (just 99 cents through Jan. 24) and makes another appearance in the second book in the series, Forever Loved, which just came out Jan. 10.

Q: So Gavin, why are you riding a Harley these days?

A: Economics. Poor college student = cheap ride.

Q: Harley’s aren’t cheap.

A: I built this one from scrap.

Q: Did you always have an affinity for working on cars and bikes?

A: Wasn’t much of a choice. My dad always seemed to drive junkers, and we had to keep them running.

Q: Why UC San Diego?

A: Well…I guess that’s complicated. I got accepted here senior year, but when we found out my girlfriend was pregnant, we decided to stay close to home and go to New Mexico State instead.

Q: But life changed your plan?

A: Yeah. Finn died when he was a week old. And I, well, I sort of took off. Ended up in Cali.

Q: So you went back to the school you originally intended. What are you studying?

A: Geology.

Q: Why did you choose that?

A: When I was a kid, my grandfather gave me a geode. We cracked it open and I was shocked to learn that something that looked so dull and boring — just a rock — could be so beautiful inside. I still have it — well, half of it.

Q: What happened to the other half?

A: I gave it to another little girl.

Q: A friend?

A: Yes, Corabelle. She lived behind me.

Q: Talking about her seems to upset you. She was special?

A: She was Finn’s mother.

Q: You still see her?

A: Naw. You walk out of your kid’s funeral, you kinda don’t have much latitude to come back.

Q: If you could say something to her right now, what would it be?

A: [Hesitates.] People always ask you if you do one thing over, what would it be? I know exactly what it would be. I wouldn’t leave. I’d be a better man. I’d be there for her, for all the people I let down.

Q: You think you’ll get a chance to tell her that?

A: She’s moved on I’m sure. Fate wasn’t too kind to us. Not thinking it will ever get any kinder.

Q: So what’s the plan with this Geology degree?

A: If I ever get it? I’m on the ten-year plan.

Q: [Laughs.] I guess right now is about just mucking through.

A: I think that’s mostly what life is all the time.

This interview precedes the first book in the Forever series, Forever Innocent (just 99 cents through Jan. 24). The sequel and conclusion to Gavin’s love story with Corabelle, Forever Loved, came out Jan. 10.

interview

An Interview with Joshua Jackson Star of ‘Kiss the Tiger’ by Raquel Lyon

Welcome Joshua. Tell us a little about yourself and your background.

Not much to say, really. *rubs chin* I come from an average working class family: Mum, dad, brother, conventional set-up. Mum’s an admin assistant; Dad’s an accountant. It’s pretty mundane stuff. If you’re looking for drama you won’t find it.

But things with your brother were pretty dramatic, no?

We fought. What brothers don’t?

I believe there was a little more to it than that. Tell us about the events that led you to be in Greece.

My brother’s always been a taker, but when he stole something from me, something very dear to me. It caused a big upset in our family. I was in Greece at the request of my parents. They demanded my brother and me reconcile.

And did you?

Haven’t you read the story? All I’ll say is that, although the conflicts I’ve had with Jacko have made me a stronger person, I’m through trying to make it work.

So Greece wasn’t a holiday for you.

Hell, no. I had to work every damn day. Of course, things looked up after Amy arrived.

You first met Amy at college, correct?

Yep.

What was your initial impression of her?

She had a great rack!

And seriously?

What makes you think I wasn’t being serious? *shrugs* Okay, she intrigued me.

Why did you give up on her so easily, back then?

After what happened, I thought I’d be a constant reminder. I couldn’t put her through any more pain.

Have you ever discussed what happened?

Not in detail. And we never will. Amy dealt with it in her own way, and we’ve moved on. Can we change the subject, please?

Okay. What do you love most about her?

That’s easy. I love the way she stares at me when she thinks I’m not looking. She acts all cool and aloof when, secretly, I know she can’t wait to get into my pants.

I can see why *blushes* How did you feel when you first saw Amy again?

The old feelings came rushing back. I knew I couldn’t let her go again, but I was nervous about how we would overcome the barrier of my brother.

That’s understandable. So, what would you say is the overall theme of your story?

*Silently contemplates the question* Sometimes life throws you a curveball, but never give up hope.

Tell us about your tattoo.

Oh yeah, you like it? I’ve had it since college. My mate and I got bored, one time, and decided to get inked up. I chose something that represented personal power and the ability to overcome obstacles. *chuckles* My mate put his ex’s name in a heart. He’s still regretting that one.

Yes, I bet. So, tell me. What makes you happy?

Being with my girl.

Naturally. Now, if you don’t mind, I’d like to do a quick fire five.

Okay.

Where would your dream vacation be?

A secluded beach with only Amy for company.

What do you wear in bed?

Nothing, babycakes. *winks*

Who was your first love?

My motorbike.

Three words that best describe you.

Persistent, loyal, *cocks eyebrow* sexy.

Who would play you in a movie?

Hmm… A young Rob Lowe would be good, or, I know, Colton Haynes. Yeah, he’s a cool guy.

What’s next for Josh and Amy? A beach wedding in Greece?

*laughs* Good one. No. Amy wants to return to Greece for a holiday, but I’ll be taking her to a different island, far away from my brother. At the moment, we’re both busy with our careers and enjoying life. As for marriage, let’s just say you’ll have to watch this space.

Well, thank you for the interview, Josh. I had fun.

No problem, sweetcheeks.
